
Patrick B. Hassell
President and CEO
Mr. Hassell is co-founder and current President & CEO for Akrometrix. Previously, Mr. Hassell served as Director, Business Development. Mr. Hassell was responsible for establishing distribution relationships in Japan and throughout SE Asia and also built key customer relationships resulting in initial market penetration for the Company's core technology and products. He was promoted to his current position in April 2003, and is a current member of Akrometrix' Board of Directors. Patrick has both authored and contributed to numerous technical papers, industry publication editorials and industry road-mapping committees. A former employee of the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) at Georgia Institute of Technology, a nationally recognized science and technology company incubator, he was responsible for business plan evaluations focused on technical feasibility and market viability. Patrick received a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA and later received a Masters Science and Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA.

David H. Markovich
Vice President Global Sales, Marketing & Business Development
Mr. Markovich is responsible for planning, directing and executing the company's worldwide business development and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining Akrometrix Mr. Markovich lived in China serving as SVP APAC Market Operations for Telelogic AB, a global leader in embedded software applications development, business process management, enterprise architecture and requirements management. Prior to Telelogic Mr. Markovich was a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Sales of Procuri, Inc. (Acquired by Ariba (NASDAQ ARBA), an On-Demand Supply Management Solution provider based in Atlanta. Over the last 25 years Mr. Markovich has held senior management positions at Moai Technologies, a provider of web-based auction technology; Essentus, Inc., a provider of supply chain software solutions; Bachman Information Systems developer, database modeling and CASE tools; and MAI Basic Four, a leading manufacturer of mini-computers and vertical software applications. Mr. Markovich graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Business Administration.

Alan Barney
Vice President, Sales APAC
Mr. Barney joined Akrometrix in July 2003. Mr. Barney has 20+ years experience with various electronics companies and as a private consultant in the microelectronics field. Mr. Barney has held sales management positions with Signetics, in Sunnyvale, CA and Medtronic/Micro-Rel in Tempe, AZ prior to entering the international business arena at Kyocera America in 1983. At Kyocera, Mr. Barney began his study of Japanese language and culture. As Director, International Business Development, ATMI/ACSI from 1995 to 2001, he was responsible for all direct and channel sales and co-founded a foreign subsidiary in Tokyo, Japan for new business in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and China. From 2001 to 2003 Mr. Barney established a consulting practice. His firm established sales and marketing organizations for ATMI and Nissan Kagaku in Tokyo, negotiated joint manufacturing agreements serving TEL, Dai Nippon Screen, Applied Materials Japan, NEC, Sony, Fujitsu, Sharp, Matsushita, Mitsubishi, and Oki Denki. Mr. Barney graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Masters Degree in International Business.

Ken Chiavone
Director, Product Development
Mr. Chiavone is responsible for managing the engineering of Akrometrix next-generation equipment and software solutions and leading the company's ISO 9001:2000 registration initiative. Mr. Chiavone has experience developing solutions in a wide range of fields including high-volume consumer product manufacturing for Snapper and Frigidaire, industrial assembly production for Parker Hannifin, Eaton, Carrier, and GM, and medical device engineering for Roche and CR Bard. Mr. Chiavone graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors from the Mercer University of Georgia with a BS in Engineering.
