
Dr. Charles Ume, Chairman of the Board
Dr. Ume is Professor and Director of the Advanced Electronic Packaging and Laser Processing Laboratory, at the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia and founded Akrometrix in 1993. Professor Ume received his Ph.D. in 1985 from the University of South Carolina in Mechanical Engineering, and has held the rank of Professor at Georgia Tech since 1999. Dr. Ume has been the Chairman of the Board for Akrometrix since its inception in 1993. He holds numerous patents and has published over 80 reviewed journal articles and books since 1985. As a prolific researcher he has mentored dozens of advanced degree students and has won numerous awards for his academic teaching skills.

Dipl. Ing. Juergen Uwe Gamalski
Mr. Gamalski is the department head of the Packaging and Assembly Lab in the Corporate Research and Technology Division - Materials & Microsystems of Siemens AG. The division provides integrated internal R&D activities for all Siemens divisions worldwide. Mr. Gamalski is a member of several national and international standardization committees in the field of soft soldering and electronic packaging and assembly technologies. After receiving his diploma in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Applied Science in Berlin, he joined SIEMENS AG in 1968 in the field of material science with early material testing laboratory management assignments in Germany and at Siemens electronics factory in Pretoria, South Africa.

Sandra Hofmann
Ms. Hofmann has successfully provided leadership to technology and manufacturing professionals for over 25 years. Ms. Hofmann's broad experience in senior management positions including 14 years with IBM has enabled her to effectively guide teams to realize goals and deliver desired results. Ms. Hofmann is particularly adept at addressing issues associated with acquired and merged businesses. Ms. Hofmann's efforts have been acknowledged by numerous industry recognitions as well as in articles published in CIO and CFO magazine, CIO Insight and Human Resource Executive.

Michael E. Kohlsdorf
Mr. Kohlsdorf is a senior executive with a notable record of key leadership positions and almost 30 years of experience. Currently CEO and President of Aderant, Mr. Kohlsdorf previously served as a Senior VP for Ikon Office Solutions, where he was responsible for a division of 16,000 employees generating $2.3 billion in sales. Mr. Kohlsdorf is known as a go-to-market innovator with a history of pioneering new technologies. Mr. Kohlsdorf has served as President and Chief Financial Officer in six other companies.

Timothy J. Purdie
Mr. Purdie is a senior management executive with a vast array of senior sales positions spanning over two decades. Since 1986, Mr. Purdie has been developing successful sales and marketing strategy for a variety of consumer and industrial products companies. Currently, Mr. Purdie serves as President, for Westgate International, LTD and formerly served as Vice President for global sales at SONIX, Inc., (a Danaher company).

Dr. Dirk A. Zwemer
Dr. Zwemer joined Akrometrix in 1995 to help establish R&D, Engineering, Production, Finance and Human Resources functions. Dr. Zwemer was a member of the executive management team for 13 years as Executive Vice President, Technology. He is a current member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Zwemer has over fifteen years prior experience in the electronics industry with Bell Labs as a member of the Technical Staff, ITT as Manager, Advanced Manufacturing and Power Systems and SRI Consulting as a Senior Consultant. He is the author of numerous patents, multiple technical papers, trade journal articles and market research reports. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from MIT, a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California Berkeley and a MBA in Marketing from Santa Clara University.

Patrick B. Hassell
President and CEO
Mr. Hassell is co-founder and current President & CEO for Akrometrix. Previously, Mr. Hassell served as Director, Business Development. Mr. Hassell was responsible for establishing distribution relationships in Japan and throughout SE Asia and also built key customer relationships resulting in initial market penetration for the Company's core technology and products. He was promoted to his current position in April 2003, and is a current member of Akrometrix' Board of Directors. Patrick has both authored and contributed to numerous technical papers, industry publication editorials and industry road-mapping committees. A former employee of the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) at the Georgia Institute of Technology, a nationally recognized science and technology company incubator, he was responsible for business plan evaluations focused on technical feasibility and market viability. Patrick received a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA and later received a Masters Science and Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA.
